MPD deploys hundreds of police officers in Tondo for 48 hours

THIS MORNING: The Manila Police District (MPD) has dispatched more than a thousand police officers in the entire Tondo 1 district in line with the enforcement of the 48-hour hard lockdown.

As of 1:44 pm on Sunday, May 3, about total of 176 violators have already been apprehended by the police.

The hard lockdown was implemented in Tondo 1 to give way for a massive rapid testing operations due to the rising number of positive and suspected COVID-19 cases.
